Dr. Nicolas Perez was born and raised in Miami, Florida. He earned his bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Florida in 2018. Shortly after graduating, he realized his true calling remained his childhood dream of becoming a veterinarian. He completed his pre-veterinary coursework at Florida International University and then went on to earn his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from THE Ohio State University in 2025.

Dr. Perez has professional interests in surgery, cardiology, and delivering care across the full spectrum of patient and client needs.

He recently made his way to Pittsburgh to join his partner, who is currently a medical resident at UPMC. Together, they share their apartment with a rescue dog named Barney - their cutest but biggest financial liability.

In his free time, Dr. Perez enjoys lifting weights at the gym, supporting his sports teams, and soaking up sunshine outdoors (when Pittsburgh allows it). He’s thrilled to be joining the team at EEVMC and looks forward to providing exceptional care for you and your pets!
